As we continue to experience a very significant market sell-off, it’s important to note that cryptocurrency prices are relatively stable. Despite the fact that cryptocurrencies are becoming a legitimate asset class, we are not seeing a direct and consistent link (neither direct nor inverse) between these two markets. At this point, my personal approach to not only whether the storm but come out ahead is to stay in my market positions while gradually building a balanced cryptocurrency portfolio. Despite the fact that a number of cryptocurrencies (and quality stocks) can be considered value buys at this moment, the wider global economic trends and hints of upcoming instability are making this investor carefully consider taking new positions in the current climate.
